nineties berlin, the large multimedia exhibition about the 1990s in Berlin, proudly announces the arrival of another prominent contemporary witness at the room „Berlin Heads“:
Flake Lorenz (Rammstein) tells about his youth in East Berlin and the political circumstances during the 90s in Berlin on a new stele, a larger than life-sized video column. The night when the Wall came down, he played at a Club in West Berlin with his former band. It happened to be a personal turning point: After German reunification, Flake contributed to the expansion of the Kunsthaus Tacheles in the early 90s and encountered new musical trends which affected his personal style as a keyboard player.

The group of contemporary witnesses is extended with a well-known musician. Flake’s story gives visitors an entertaining and humorous insight into the period of the fall of the Wall and the 90s in Berlin.
